*Disclaimer* I apologize for the poor picture quality. These were taken by the mom, not the dad!
So, Jericho will be 9 months old on the 4th. I am amazed at how fast time has gone. It doesn't seem possible. He has been officially crawling for about a week and a half and he is FAST! He still does his belly scoot, but either way he can motate! And of course in the past week he has also started pulling himself up on the furniture to a standing position, and as you can see from the pictures, he started crawling the stairs today. I was sure surprised when I came around the corner to see him standing there. And, he was quite proud of himself. He loves to push and pull on the gait that blocks him from the stairs going to the basement which required a little extra support. I have it tied with some ribbon to the banisters!! (Yes I am white trash, OK?) And, Jericho has had his first taste of cat food. It is a very important milestone in a child's life, right? Well, regardless he got some! I've had to come up with all kinds of creative ways of hiding, or moving things out of his reach. Even then, he has found a lot of ways to get into trouble. I think this mom is in for A LOT of trouble, what do you think?
He really is the happiest kid. He is always smiling and happy. He only gets grumpy when he wants his bottle or it's naptime. He loves to play with his stuffed polar bear in his crib and has to have it to go to sleep. He talks and squeals like crazy and has started to suck on his upper lip. He does it in some different ways and makes some super cute faces. I love to hear him talking in his car seat as we are driving. I can look in the little mirror and just see him talking to his toys or looking at me through the mirror and jabbering. I sure do love him and he makes every day so wonderful. I really love to see his face when Wade walks in the door. Oh, he gets so excited and you can tell he wants to show his dad his tricks. It's pretty darned adorable.
I've been getting everything together to go to Vernal for our family reunion. It's amazing how much work and how much stuff you have to take to go camping with a baby!!! I feel like I'm having to pack up the whole house! Anyway, I hope it's a good trip. I'm excited to see my family and all my aunts, uncles and cousins. Stay tuned for pictures and a complete play by play!
