Polar Bear

The "damned" polar bear

So happy to have his bear back...

OK, so I learned my lesson. Never, Never, Never leave this house without that stupid polar bear. Jeez. So, we get up to Iron Springs (Uintah mountains above Vernal) for our reunion, put up the tent, blow up the air mattress, get out sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, set up the play pen, have about 4 hours with the fam and then try to go to bed. Gah! Even though I had other toys, his bottle and Wade and I were right there, the kid screamed his head off. He was hysterical! Wade took him for a car ride, got him to sleep, brought him back to the tent and he just started screaming again. Wade and I looked at each other and said, lets just bag it. So, we packed up everything. It was 1130 at night. I was so freaking frustrated I could have screamed. I was throwing stuff and I didn't even want to pack anything, I just could have left it all.... Wade was the one being calm and telling me it was going to be OK. We went back to Vernal to my parents house and tried to put Jericho in the crib. He did OK for about 20 minutes, then he started crying again. I ended up having to rock him for about 30 minutes which is something he never lets me do. I got him relaxed enough and put him back in his crib. He finally went to sleep about 2 am. When he woke up at 7 he was as happy as could be....
So we went to Zachary's babtism that day and then drove home to Payson afterwards.
Long story short - Attach the Polar Bear to Jericho permanently!!!

that is so funny and yet i can totally relate to the frustration and wanting to pull your hair out! Sorry for the horrible experience but it makes for a funny story later.

So officially, Jericho has been camping......ZERO times. We've got to do better. And we should definitely stock up on Polar bears, although Travis said that one was actually very difficult for him to find.
