Latest Haskell happenings...

Jericho rocked to sleep by the soothing boat motions, completely upright, stuck in his life jacket ;)

"Mom, what is this crazy thing you have me stuck in?"

About as adorable as they come!

Wade's very impressive photography skills!!

So we were lucky enough to be invited (and I was lucky enough to be able to switch my schedule around) with the Broadbents for a day of boating last Saturday at Mona Reservoir. They even bought a life jacket for us for Jericho, since we of course didn't have one. The poor kid didn't know what to think of the contraption, but was very tolerant of it. He couldn't move much, so he was pretty content to just sit still. I was very suprised. He never sits on my lap or will just even sit to play with a toy, but he did all day saturday. I was amazed. And after a hot morning of being out on the water, the soothing motion did put him to sleep. So cute. Wade did some wakeboarding and did an awesome job. He had only tried it one other time, but this time he did awesome and was even starting to figure out some tricks. As usually I'm a big bawl baby loser and I wouldn't try wakeboarding. I know, I know. I am a dork. But I am scared of the water, scared of getting hurt and losing my job, then losing our house, cars, etc. So, unfortunately my boring/responsible side comes out and I just can't do it. (Being an ER nurse takes all the fun out of life at times. When you see and know everything that can possibly go wrong, you become pretty paranoid) Jami was so good to teach Wade. She even got in the water to talk him through everything. She says that I have to do it by the end of summer. Hum. I don't know about that. We did get on the tube though. We even did a slow/mellow ride with Jericho. I was nervous the whole time, but he liked it and pretty much just sat still in his crazy life jacket. I was glad to get him off the tube though. I'm so nerotic. Then Wade and I went for a little more adventurous ride. My arms were pretty sore the next day from holding on. I guess I gotta start workin out some more :) Anyway, as always we owe the Broadbents for being our cool friends and for inviting us along.
On Sunday night before I was going to work, Jericho and Wade were going to get in the pool, so I was searching for a hat for Jericho. I found this cute blue sun hat and so we put it on him and Wade took some pretty awesome pictures. I am always amazed at how much he has learned and I love that we have such great pictures of Jericho. He is such a happy and handsome baby boy!
On Monday night we did go to the Tori Amos concert at Abravanel Hall with the Broadbents. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then on to the concert. It was awesome. Tori is so amazing and I am always more amazed seeing her live. Unfortunately Wade did get sick and had to miss his favorite song. By the time we got home, he had a fever and was shaking pretty bad. Poor guy. As of today he is doing better, so I am glad.
This weekend we have Wade's family reunion and then next weekend we have the Mckee reunion for my family in Vernal. So... I'm sure there will be lots of pictures and great stories to come!

Good blog Honey, especially since I'll never get around to updating mine with a little more info.

And, to any of your friends reading this, I hope you'll tell Brynn all of the many wonderful reasons why she should totally try wake boarding by the end of the summer.
